Ethel is about 4 yrs old. She's very obedient and hates to get in trouble. She's never bitten anyone or snapped at anyone. She lays under end tables or desks or under the bed where it's nice and cool. But she loves sleeping on the bed, too. She has long hair and gets very warm so she loves the cold floor. She won't "speak" but will bark at intruders. She comes to you when called instead of running off. Beware of her tongue -- she has a long one and LOVES to use it! LOL. She's french kissed lots of our friends when they weren't prepared. She loves kids -- since we have Don Edward who's 10 and tortures her on a daily basis. :) She's just so, so sweet.
Sassy is nicknamed "goofy." :) She was a stray that we took in and fell in love with. We always thought she was dumb, but she's the smartest one!! She loves to chase/retrieve balls -- or socks if they're rolled up into a ball. She is a great protector. She barks and warms you of guests, but if you tell her to be quiet, she will. Very obedient. She has a pillow (we're on the 3rd one b/c they wear out) that she LOVES to suckle. IDK why -- guess she was taken away from her mom too young or something. But she grasps it with her front paws and sucks on it. She never means to tear it, but the pillow just wears out. You can tell her to go get her pillow, and she'll usually get it and come back with it. Sassy needs personal attention and love. She doesn't like to be alone -- but the pillow or a ball helps if she's left alone. She doesn't lick but she rubs all over you -- kind of like a cat. She LOVES to be touched. So so sweet. And if you're stern with her at all, she's sad. It hurts her feelings. She also comes back when she's called b/c she wants to please you so much. Sassy also loves kids.
We really want someone to adopt the dogs separately. These two were the last two adopted is the reason we're willing to adopt them out. We still have two other dogs that we can't part with, and they're the WORST behaved!! LOL We want someone to adopt them that will stay in touch with us and let us know how they're doing. We love our animals almost as much as our kids, and this is very, very hard on us.
Thanks so much, Robin. Sorry for the novel, but I wanted to cover everything.
